Ajith To Wait For the "King"

Ajith starrer Billa 2007 and Vijay's Azhagiya Thamizh Magan were said to ignite the screens for this year's Diwali. The fans of both the stars are eagerly awaiting the releases. However, it appears that there may be a slight change associated with the dates of release of these films.

Pyramid Sai Mira had purchased the distribution rights of ATM and plans are underway to produce a huge number of prints. The Move is seen to cater to its large number of theatres, especially outside Chennai.

As Behindwoods had already pointed out, the production company was keen on Ajith's Billa too. Now the official new is out that they have indeed completed the deal for an undisclosed amount. The Billa team was earlier quoted to have put a price tag of 15 crores for the theatrical rights alone. The satellite and audio rights are still yet to be decided.

With most of the theatres almost decided for ATM, it might be a bit difficult to accommodate Billa, more so in B and C centers.

Talks are already underway to postpone the release of Billa 2007 to December. An official release is still awaited. According to trade analysts, this might actually work for both the parties. Vishnuvardhan will also get some extra time to polish off his final product. Behindwoods, as usual, will be the first to update you on the happenings!
